YOGA VASISHTHA | MITRA | VOL 2.2 | BOOK IV | CHAP XXII

|| VERSE 6 | RESTING IN SUPREME FELICITY ||

All restless desires and passions are set to rest , at the disappearance of ignorance ; as the turbulent waves of rivers subside of themselves , in the absence of stormy clouds .

YOGA VASISHTHA | MITRA | VOL 2.2 | BOOK IV | CHAP XXII

|| VERSE 9 | RESTING IN SUPREME FELICITY ||

The mind that is freed from passions , from worldly connections and contentions , and from dependance on anyone or anything , is liberated also from the bonds of ignorance and error , as a bird is set free from its imprisoning cage .

YOGA VASISHTHA | MITRA | VOL 2.2 | BOOK IV | CHAP XXII

|| VERSE 22 | RESTING IN SUPREME FELICITY ||

So long does the pageant of the world present its dusky appearance to our view , as we do not deign to consider the questions :

" What am I ? What are all these about me ? " .

YOGA VASISHTHA | MITRA | VOL 2.2 | BOOK IV | CHAP XXII

|| VERSE 25 | RESTING IN SUPREME FELICITY ||

The Infinite Intelligence pervades all in the infinity of space and eternity of time , and is the source of all accidents and events , which incessantly take place in them .

YOGA VASISHTHA | MITRA | VOL 2.2 | BOOK IV | CHAP XXII

|| VERSE 30 | RESTING IN SUPREME FELICITY ||

The Soul stretches above and below and all about ,
whose magnitude has no bounds nor an equal .

YOGA VASISHTHA | MITRA | VOL 2.2 | BOOK IV | CHAP XXIV

|| VERSE 21 | THE NON-ENTITY OF THE MIND ||

Give up misjudgments of the reality of yourself , and of this and that thing .

Direct your understanding to the Knowledge of The Reality which is beyond all these .

Forsake your belief in and reliance on the mind

YOGA VASISHTHA | MITRA | VOL 2.2 | BOOK IV | CHAP XXXI

|| VERSE 2 | INVESTIGATION OF REALITY & UNREALITY ||

Following after untruth by slighting the Truth , is attended with the danger of incurring endless miseries , of which the careless pursuer after it is little aware .

YOGA VASISHTHA | MITRA | VOL 2.2 | BOOK IV | CHAP XXXI

|| VERSE 28 | INVESTIGATION OF REALITY & UNREALITY ||

Ignorance has no notion of The Spirit , beside that of matter , which is believed as the cause and effect of its own production .

Knowledge sees the substantive Spirit in all forms , just as viewing the substance of gold in all the ornaments made of that metal .

YOGA VASISHTHA | MITRA | VOL 2.2 | BOOK IV | CHAP XXXI

|| VERSE 32 | INVESTIGATION OF REALITY & UNREALITY ||

There is but One Being that is really existent , who is Truth and Consciousness Itself , and of the nature of the Spirit and pure Understanding .

It is immaculate , all pervading , quiescent and without rise or fall .

YOGA VASISHTHA | MITRA | VOL 2.2 | BOOK IV | CHAP XXXI

|| VERSE 47 | INVESTIGATION OF REALITY & UNREALITY ||

There are all these things everywhere , as we have ideas of them in our minds ; but there is never anything anywhere , of which we have no previous idea in the mind .

It is The One quiet Spirit of GOD , which lies extended in all these forms coming to our knowledge .

Therefore knowing GOD as All in All , give up all fears and sorrows and duality ; rest in peace in The Unity of GOD .
